Donor Spotlight - Commissioner Neil Chatterjee

Town Branch Park is a once-in-a-lifetime project for our community that is being brought to life by our community. Individuals who believe in creating long-lasting community impact are essential to the success of Town Branch Park. Supporters like Lexington native and Federal Energy Regulatory Commissioner Neil Chatterjee.

Commissioner Chatterjee has not forgotten his Bluegrass roots, “Moving away, you appreciate the beauty of the Bluegrass. People expect Kentucky to be very industrial, but they are in awe of the natural beauty of the Commonwealth when they see it firsthand. My wife Rebecca and our three young children appreciate and enjoy our time spent in parks, and we are so excited to be part of Town Branch Park, a project that will positively impact the Lexington community and bring a piece of the Commonwealth’s natural beauty to downtown.”

While he now lives in Virginia, some of Comm’r Chatterjee’s fondest childhood memories involve driving around downtown Lexington with his friends. Now his generosity is allowing Town Branch Park to enhance that same downtown and nurture the health and well-being of our people, the entire community, the environment, and our economy.

Town Branch Park is an independent nonprofit, and without donors like him, there would be no park. Big-hearted supporters help ensure we will have a unique and thoughtfully designed green space for all. Thank you, Commissioner Chatterjee, for your vision and for helping us continue to create a park that reflects the spirit and culture of the Bluegrass in the heart of downtown Lexington!
