Nathan Zamarron

Nathan Zamarron has worked at LexArts for 10 years and is currently serving as the Community Arts Director.  Zamarron designs arts programming and organizes murals and public art in Lexington, KY. He has been project manager on dozens of public artworks and has secured four NEA Artworks Awards for LexArts. He also serves on the Advisory Board for the City of Lexington’s Department of Social Services and the Art Committee of Corridors Commission. He worked with Artrain USA from 2003 to 2007 reaching 150,000 people across 23 states. The exhibit received the IMLS National Service Award and NEA American Masterpiece Award. Zamarron earned a BFA from the University of Michigan in 2004.

 


I joined the Town Branch Park Partners because I believe in the power of the arts to spark imagination, create dialogue and build community identity.  I am excited for the arts to be present in the planning process of a park that will transform downtown Lexington.
